Role Overview
As a Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of robust, scalable, and effective ServiceNow solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure architectural best practices are followed across the platform.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone who can think big picture while getting into the detail when needed.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, Risk, CSM, ITOM, SecOps, etc.)
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements
- Define and enforce platform standards, design principles, and governance
- Provide technical leadership on major implementations, upgrades, and integrations
- Identify opportunities for process automation, platform optimisation, and innovation
- Conduct solution reviews, risk assessments, and performance evaluations
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and new features, and assess relevance for future use
- Act as the trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, bridging the gap between business goals and technical implementation
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in a ServiceNow Architect or Senior Developer role.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, integrations, and development
- Expertise in at least 2–3 ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, Risk, HRSD, CSM, etc.)
- Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), Service Portal, Flow Designer, and REST APIs
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations (e.g., via MID Server, web services, LDAP, SSO)
- Ability to lead design workshops, produce architecture diagrams, and solution documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of Agile or ITIL frameworks
- Desirable to have ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (for one or more modules).
